FEATURED POEM

POEMS

Divided Comforts (read at the Open Central Asia Book Forum, Bishkek)

A woman or man can own what they have made,

or bought from the one who made it.

Everything else is free

and can not be bought

and can not be sold.

Did you make the water?

Did you make the earth?

Did you make our hearts?

Did you, somewhere, find the maker of these things

and offer everything?

In the end, your gifts are insufficient.

Justice exceeds these divided comforts.
